Information
This tutorial will show y'all how to hibernate or show the Sign out choice on the Start screen, Alt+F4 Shut Down Windows dialog, and Win+X Power Users carte for all or specific users in Windows 8 and eight.ane.
You must exist signed in as an ambassador to be able to do the steps in this tutorial.
Note
This volition not remove "Sign out" from the CTRL + ALT + DEL screen.
This will only hide or evidence the "Sign out" option, and will not preclude users from using other methods to sign out. For example:
- Command line
- CTRL + ALT + DEL

Option I
To Hide or Show "Sign out" Option using a REG File
Notation
The .reg files below are for the registry fundamental and value below.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
StartMenuLogOff DWORD
0 or delete = Evidence
i = Hide
1. Do stride 2 or 3 beneath for what y'all would like to do.
2. To Bear witness "Sign out" Option for Only Current User
NOTE: This is the default setting.
A) Click/tap on the Download push button below to download the .reg file below, and go to stride four below.

3. To Hide "Sign out" Option for Only Current User
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the .reg file below, and become to footstep 4 below.

four. Save the .reg file to your desktop.
five. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.
6. If prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.
viii. When finished, yous can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
